WHAT WE BELIEVE
-
The Bible, and only the Bible as the 66 books of Scripture, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
Inspired because it is by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that human writers put pen to paper.
Infallible because it will accomplish God’s intended purpose.
Authoritative because it defines how we, as Christian and the church, should conduct our lives.

There is one God, one being who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and who are coequal in deity, power, and glory. We call this Triune, or the Trinity: One in substance and Three in person.
1 John 5:7 | Genesis 1:26 | Matthew 3:16-17 | Matthew 28:19 | Luke 1:35 |
Isaiah 9:6 | Hebrews 3:7-11 -
Jesus Christ is God the Son, who came to earth as a human baby, born to a virgin named Mary, born in the flesh, yet eternally God: 100% God / 100% man. He was perfect, sinless, performed amazing miracles, raised the dead, healed all kinds of disease, and gave His life as a sacrifice on a cross, crucified, condemned by the religious leaders and the Roman officials. Through His sacrifice and shed blood all of humanity, for those who believe, find redemption. And although He died and was buried, He rose again, as promised according to Scripture, on the third day, and 40 days later ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. Through His resurrection and ascension, He proved He is God.

We believe in the reality of Satan as expressed in Scripture. That he was a great and good angel who rebelled against God, and in so doing, took with him a multitude of heavenly angels. He was cast out of God’s presence and is at work, along with his demonic hosts, to establish a kingdom of darkness and evil on the earth. However, he has not and will not win. Satan was judged and defeated at the cross of Jesus Christ and will, at the end of the age, be cast forever into the lake of fire which has been prepared for him and his angels who rebelled.

Adam and Eve were created in the image of God – in His likeness: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Humanity was created to know and enjoy God. Humanity was given free will, the ability to choose. In that free will, humanity chose to reject the Lordship and glory of God, not only in the Garden of Eden, but no human since has been perfect, except Jesus Christ in the flesh. Because of this choice, this sin, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world. As such all of humanity is born into and subject to sin, and are ‘children of wrath’, separated from God, wholly unable to save themselves or in any way contribute to their acceptance with God.

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No work, or ritual, or sacrifice outside of the cross, or any other activity done by humanity can or is required to redeem us.
Grace alone, defines the free gift of Jesus Christ, sent to earth as a human to give his body on the cross as a sacrifice that conquered sin, death, and the grave.
Faith alone, because it is only in belief in Jesus, not work, that we are saved.
Christ alone, because there is no other path, no other way, no other religion or savior that can or will redeem humanity. Jesus is the only way to redemption, heaven, and eternity with God.
REPENTANCE: Repentance is a recognition of sin, a decision to turn away from it, and a commitment to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Through repentance, we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation.
Acts 2:21 | Acts 3:19 | 1 John 1:9
REDEMPTION: All of creation, including humanity, was created good, but by voluntary rejection, we all fall short of God’s perfect plan and will. We are all fallen. Our only hope of redemption (the act of being saved from sin, error, or evil) is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Genesis 1:26-31 | Genesis 3:1-7
| Romans 5:12-21REGENERATION: The only way to know God is by the power of God, the Holy Spirit. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the Christian life.
John 6:44 | John 6:65 | Matthew 19:28 | Titus 3:5
SANCTIFICATION: The ongoing process of denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Jesus, as we are led by the Spirit of God, to become more like Christ, transformed from glory to glory by the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, to endure in this life and live a Godly life, holy and righteous to Him.

PRESENCE & POWER of the Holy Spirit: Jesus promised his disciples that it was better He went away, and if He did, He and the Father would send the Holy Spirit to be with them, guide them, teach them, and lead them in this life. This promise is for us today as much as it was for them. When a person believes in Jesus Christ and confesses Him as their Lord and Savior, they are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. His Presence indwells the Christian.
John 14:17 | John 14:26 | John 16:7 | Acts 1:5 | Acts 1:8 | Acts 2:1-3 | Ephesians 1:13-14
GIFTS of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit works in and through the believer for the uplifting, edification, and encouragement of the whole church. This operation is through the gifts of the Spirit. To each believer various gifts are given for the purpose of encouraging each other.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 | 1 Corinthians 14:1 | Romans 12:6 | 1 Peter 4:10 | Ephesians 4:11
FRUIT of the Spirit: As the believer continues to submit to the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, their lives produce fruit by God’s Spirit at work in and through their lives. This fruit grows as we lay down our own passions and desires and allow God to work in us.
Galatians 5:16-25

WATER BAPTISM: Baptism is a public confession of a person’s faith and an opportunity to identify with the sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is not essential for salvation or the receiving of the Holy Spirit, yet is part of a believer’s confession of faith. Baptism is a personal decision, made by the believer at an age where they understand what they are confessing, and are thus baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19 | Acts 2:38 | Mark 16:16 | Acts 8:12 | Acts 8:36-38 | Acts 10:47-48
COMMUNION (The Lord’s Supper): Jesus told his disciples, and by extension the Church, to remember him through the act of communion, the taking of both bread and wine (juice), to identify with the body He gave as a sacrifice, and His blood that was shed for the atonement of sins. When we take communion, we actively remember His life, death, and resurrection, the power at work in us for salvation!
Matthew 26:26-29 | 1 Corinthians 10:6 | 1 Corinthians 11:23-25
MARRIAGE: We believe Marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all others, instituted by and publicly entered into before God. Marriage is a unique reflection of God’s faithful love for all humankind. The relationship of husband and wife, as family, reflects the covenanting, self-giving love between Christ and His Bride, the Church. The pledge of mutual faithfulness is not tentative or conditional. The permanent nature of the marriage bond gives security and promotes the development of a trusting relationship.

The Church is the Body of Christ, the dwelling place and temple of the Holy Spirit in the earth, created for good works prepared in advance by the Father. Both men and women, young and old, are called to fulfill the Great Commission, to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, to be led by the Spirit of God, to be Ambassadors for Christ. We are many members that make up one body. No Christian is an island. We were made for community. We were made for friendship. We were made to serve together, grow together, learn together, and minister together. Globally there is a spiritual unity of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus will physically and visibly return to earth to establish His Kingdom that He inaugurated in His first coming. No human knows the time or date this will occur; we are simply meant to be ready when He comes. We pray for all of humanity to hear the gospel and turn to Jesus Christ as their Savior.
