KAREN GALLAGHER MEMORIAL
On Sunday afternoon, March 7, 2021, Karen Elaine (Olson) Gallagher, 76, of Cutler Bay, Florida, moved to her Heavenly home. Karen was a godly woman who loved the Lord, and set an example for her husband, children, grandchildren, and many former students that will lead them all their lives.
Karen was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 19, 1944 to the late Roy H. and Marian E. Olson. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life, Paul V. Gallagher.
A long-time resident of Greater Miami, she will be remembered as a gifted educator to hundreds of elementary children, a businesswoman alongside her husband, a talented nature photographer, amateur botanist, and a missionary to China.
Karen loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God’s Word. Though she was a humble, gentle woman, Karen was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and the world at large. Over the years, she worshipped at several evangelical churches in South Miami/Cutler Bay.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 24 at Cutler Bay Worship Center, 8601 SW 199th St, Cutler Bay, Florida (www.cutlerbayworship.org) followed by a reception. During the memorial, guests may share stories celebrating Karen’s rich life.

Karen is survived by her husband, Paul; son, A.J. Gallagher and wife Bobbi, of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Lynn Rhodes, and husband Will, of Mount Jackson, VA; grandchildren, Gabrielle Astorga, Heather Gallagher, Andrew Gallagher, Caitlyn Gallagher, Asheley Gallagher, Katie Cullison, Lydia Rhodes, Lily Rhodes; and brother, Arvid R. Olson. A beloved daughter, Kelly Gallagher, preceded her in death.
