Wednesday Fasting

• Wednesdays are the day that we choose to fast as a community. The early church fasted two days a week, Wednesday and Friday. You may feel the desire to fast both days. If so, go for it! As a community, at this point, we are choosing to fast on Wednesdays together. Remember, fasting isn’t just about giving up food, it’s laying down our own desires for the purpose of honoring God with our lives, our intentions, and our focus. We deny ourselves so we can follow Him! John the Baptist said, “I must decrease, He must increase.” Jesus said, “if you want to be my disciple, you have to deny yourself…” Fasting is a way we intentionally give up the things of this world that so easily entangle us so we can intentionally give focus and place to God.

Thursday Prayer Meeting

• We meet every Thursday, 6pm - 8pm for a time of worship and prayer. Please join us as we pursue the heart of God in prayer.

• January 19th

  • Guest Speaker Cameron Wright will be with us from Harvest Alliance. Harvest Alliance is a network of churches that Cutler Bay Worship Center has been a part of since its inception. You can find out more about Cameron here: https://www.cameronwright.org/

• January 25th

  • Town of Cutler Bay Chili Cook-off event. We will be at this event to hand out water and connect with people in our town.

• February 9th

  • SuperBowl Party // 6pm in the Hall. Please bring something to share as a snack / dinner / finger-food type item.

BIBLE READING PLAN

• If you want to join us in reading through the bible this year, it’s not too late! You can jump in on today’s date or go back to the beginning and either choose to read a bit more to catch up to the right date or print the document at home (or grab a copy on Sunday) and check off the parts you’ve read. This isn’t about being legalistic, it’s about being in the Word of God, which is good for you!
